Equilibrium
Drive Filtration
Equeron automatic self-cleaning screen filters remove suspended solids at 10 to 1,500 micron at flow rates up to 1,000 m3/hr (4,400 GPM)
Equilibrium Drive™ implements technology leading design via automated suction nozzle flushing of the filter screen without limit switches, hydraulic pistons or electric motors.
HOW IT WORKS

1. Equeron filter body is full dip passivated 304 stainless steel.

2. The internal assembly is hydraulicly separated into two zones – filter screen and flush motor,

3. Normal operation: Dirty water enters the inlet, passes through the screen and exits the outlet. The flush valve is closed.

4. Flush Cycle: When the pressure differential across the filter screen exceeds 7 psi, the flush valve is opened, engaging the flush motor.

5. Flush Cycle: Water flows through the suction nozzles and rotates the nozzles across the screen. Sediments travel from the dirty screen out the flush. The filtration process remains uninterrupted.

6. Normal Operation: After a 15 second flush cycle, the flush valve closes and the filter returns to normal operation

HOW IT WORKS
Automatic self-cleaning screen filters
The Equeron automatic self-cleaning screen filter range operates from 10 to 1,500 micron offering flow rates from 50 to >1,000 m3/hr (220 to 4,400 GPM).
The Equilibrium Drive™ provides technology leading design:
– No electric motors
– No limit switches
– No hydraulic pistons
– No penetration of the filter body
(except for water connections)
Equilibrium Drive™ eliminates the need for seals on external penetrations – removing the risk of fouling, degradation and subsequent failure (and leaks). Equeron filters are manufactured from full dip passivated 304 stainless steel, with other options available on request.
Case Study
Paradise Springs Golf Resort, Malaysia
Overview
The Paradise Springs Golf Resort is one of Malaysia’s premier courses with 36 holes, resort style accommodation and associated facilities.
In total, the course occupies 70 hectares under irrigation via a variety of systems including wide radius trigger sprayers, localised radial sprayers and drip irrigation. The filtration plant also serves the accommodation facilities.
– Flow rate = 120 L/s
– Micro rating = 100 micron
Product
Equeron installed the Equeron 240 in early 2024. The Equeron filter replaced an existing self-cleaning filter. Specifications:
Max Flow rate = 271 L/s (119 GPM)
Micro rating = 100 micron
Result
The Equeron 240 has run without fault since installation. System data shows a total of 6,314 flush cycles over the first 12 month period.
The ground manager has commented that it is one piece of equipment he hasn’t had to worry about throughout the period of operation.
Equeron conducted a full pull down service after the first 12 months operation and there was no replacement parts required. The filter was returned to service within 1 hour.
